As an International Closeout Buyer, you will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and purchasing closeout merchandise from international markets. Your role will involve maintaining productive relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable purchasing terms, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods.
Responsibilities & Tasks
Identify closeout merchandise opportunities through extensive market research and analysis.
Scout, identify, and negotiate with international suppliers to source high-quality closeout merchandise. Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate the best possible prices, terms, and conditions for purchases.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with international supplier networks to ensure a consistent supply of closeout merchandise.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry dynamics to anticipate purchasing opportunities and potential risks.
Continuously evaluate and assess supplier performance, including product quality, delivery reliability, and customer service.
Manage the purchasing process from order placement to product delivery, ensuring timely shipments and adherence to quality standards.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including logistics, finance, and marketing, to optimize inventory management and product availability.
Analyze sales performance and market demand to determine appropriate quantities and assortments of closeout merchandise.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information for future reference and analysis.
Requirements:
Proficiency in English and Portuguese, French is a plus.
Desirable bachelor’s degree in business administration, international business or related fields, specialization it is a Plus.
At least 18 months of work experience in Sales and purchasing experience.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required to meet with suppliers and attend trade shows or industry events.

Supplier Relationship Management: Adept at establishing long-term relationships with suppliers, using communication and negotiation skills to build rapport and trust.
